Thanks for anyone who is willing to give advice. I am very worried that the Chinese piano can't last for a long time, despite having proper care. What is the gap between the Chinese one with Young Chang, and also the Yamaha and Kawai. It's still more expensive than the Chinese one. However, I am seriously considering it due to the price.

I do not know as well whether the tone appeals to me? I have not tried any of the Young Chang and thus I do not know about the quality.

I have come to know that Young Chang's Platinum Series is equivalent to Kawai's RX, Yamaha's C and both their uprights, according to Larry Fine. This is due to YC is not so popular in Malaysia and thus they can't mark up the price too much. He points out that the quality is about the same and the price is significantly cheaper than the Yamaha and Kawai. I am wondering how accurate is his comparison.

The dealer that I contact via email has been comparing his Platinum YP48 to a Yamaha YUS1, Professional PE121 to U1 and PE131 to U3. I have found out that Young Chang in fact is relatively cheaper than the Yamaha and also the Kawai. I have been considering the Korean and Japan made pianos now as I am lowering my budget again and again, and maybe now it's about upright and no longer a grand piano. Currently, they have five differentĮlectronic piano series with a total of nine different designs. You can read up my previous thread of my progression if you want.Īnyway, this post is mainly about the Asian made piano (excluding China).
